About Ms. Harnden

I am excited to begin my ninth year at Miller Hill-Sand Lake School!

What did Ms. Harnden do before teaching?
I was a museum educator for 11 years at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA and the Williams College Museum of Art in Williamstown, MA. 

I also substitute taught at Susan Odell Taylor School, Gardner Dickinson School, West Sand Lake Elementary School, Poestenkill Elementary School, Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School, and Berlin Elementary and Junior/Senior High School.

Where is Ms. Harnden from?
Schenectady, NY. My elementary school was Elmer Elementary School.

Where did Ms. Harnden go to college?
​I have a B.A. in English and Art from Colby College in Maine and an M.S. in Childhood Education and Literacy from the Sage Colleges in Troy.

Where does Ms. Harnden live?
I live in Berlin, NY with my husband and two cats. My husband and I have put a lot of care and hard work into restoring our very old home. 

What does Ms. Harnden do when she is not at school?
I enjoy gardening, yoga, reading, watching old movies, listening to music, vegetarian cooking, drawing and painting.
